The Omega point

Remember that book I was stuck reading in Barnes and Noble? Well, I finally found the green to call it my own. In the peace and quiet of my bedroom… o.k., that never happened: in the loud and noisy NYC subway, I started to read an article that was touching on a theory that I always thought about but never knew its name. It’s called the Omega Point theory of evolution. In short, it talks about how the rate of human technological evolution is going to reach infinity, or omega. Bored nearly half way to death, I actually flipped to something other than the front page on CNN.com. Thats when I saw this article on the technology page. It was about how 2012 is an internet chaos that will scare the living c*** out of people. Seriously?
